Meet Rob Volpe
Rob Volpe is an astute observer of life and a master storyteller who brings empathy and compassion to the human experience.
Rob Volpe is a thought leader in the role of empathy in marketing and the workplace.
As CEO of Ignite 360, he leads a team of insights, strategy, and creative professionals serving the world’s leading brands across a range of industries.
A graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Rob has been studying empathy since 2010 when the University of Michigan study came out showcasing the empathy crisis.
Frustrated with the steep drop in empathy skills and the lack of solutions to help people reverse the decline, Rob set out to understand what people need to do in the moment of engagement in order to reach empathy.
In an initial effort to help clients better connect with their consumers, Rob reviewed many of the study abstracts, both neuro-biological as well as socio-psychological, consulted with psychologists and conducted research with Ignite 360’s custom studies.
He quickly realized it had broader application beyond the insights community.
The result of his work is The 5 Steps to Empathy, which he brought to life in the “thoughtful, funny and informative” new book Tell Me More About That: Solving the Empathy Crisis One Conversation at a Time.
Now, Rob brings the 5 Steps to audiences through live presentations and workshops, as well as, Ignite 360 Empathy Camp™ training programs.
Rob lives in San Francisco with his husband and 3 cats.
